BonFIRE Internal DNSΒΆ

The BonFIRE internal Domain Name System dynamically assigns DNS entries to compute resources. Internal DNS entries are allocated only for addresses on the BonFIRE WAN network, and are resolvable only within BonFIRE.

Compute resources are assigned a DNS entry according to the following format:
<name>.<experiment_id>.experiments.production.bonfire.internal
For example a compute resource belonging to experiment 1234 with name “foo” would become
foo.1234.experiments.production.bonfire.internal
